E46 Brake Warning Light

New to forum. '04 Convertible Immola/Black/Black 6 MT.
Hmmmm......Brake warning light illuminated RED in lower right-hand corner (see picture). Also an audible alert of 25 'beeps'. Does not seem to be related to emergency hand brake as I thought or Brake Fluid as Owners Manual says. Saw something in Forum about removing error message by having ignition in position 2 car not running, hold I/O button for 10 seconds, + button for 5 seconds, press accelerator in and hold to see light clear itself. Did not work.

Any expert suggestions out there...?

Try to lift the parking brake and let it sort of "slam" down if that makes sense...
I've had weird issues in the past like this. My guess is the sensor is being wonky.
