Hey guys, desperately need help before i lose all my hair and torch my car:



Background

Eu build 05/ 2002 build E46 M3 (SMG2)

Converted to manual (no clutch switch and EWS by passed / bridged).

All SMG hardware, relays and fuses removed.

Car drove fine post conversion for 2 years, no issues.

No fault codes at all.



Fast forward to a month ago, after getting lunch the car wouldn't start.. EML and check engine appeared.

No fuel no spark, initially suspected fuel pump. this was replaced with a brand new Walbro and wired correctly.

DME relay, fuel pump relay and all fuses tested / replaced, Crank speed sensor replaced.. still no resolution.



Car has been recoded with WinkFP and NCS expert with a factory manual tune (used ZB number 7837907 - HWN 7837941). Used ISTA to analyze DME and ECU communications, all positive. Oddly, it is still recognizing the EGS / SMG unit (see photos attached).



Have tried an EWS and EWS delete tune.. When flashing back to the original SMG tune it no longer recognises the DME and needle sticks to hot post coding. Once flashed back to the manual over ride tune, recommunicates with DME.



A cause for concern to call out is the 'ecu rejected' status when trying to align the ISN number and EWS with the EWS tune - however EWS shows as responsive with ISTA.



Are there any geniuses reading this that can help me by reading my DME dump and identify any anomalies? (I have a bin i can send)
