Confused on Vanos repair
I’m trying to figure out if I need to replace the solenoid packs when I do my upgrade? I see Dr Vanos, albeit much more expensive, appears to put a new pack in but doesn’t appear Beisan does. I’m looking to see if I’m right in my assumption and whether it’s worth paying more and do Dr Vanos. O3 M3 34k miles and just looking to fix a service engine soon Vanos error. Thanks.

Are you talking about the valve body (Silver piece) or the solenoid (black piece)
I went ahead and replaced the solenoid when I did mine years ago. |

No need to change the solenoid when it's working.
Even if it fails later it's just a 10 minute job to change it. If you want to safe the money right now, it's no problem. Unless it's working ;-) |
