First time posting here, figured it’s only right to continue the build thread of my newly acquired e46 M3 in interlagos blue + slicktop!!
Purchased this from a friend and fellow forum member 911r

Coming from a fully track built e92 M3 and 3 E36’s I figured i’d give the e46 a try.

After about 2 weeks of texting with some extra reassurance from friends and other forum members I decided to pull the trigger as i figured i’d never get the chance to own a dream car like this.
Purchased a 1 way ticket to New Mexico where the 10 hour trip back to Austin, Texas started.
With the only issue on the whole trip being a somewhat funky starter i had to bump start in the middle of a chick fil a parking lot (lol) other than that drove flawlessly.

Have only had the car for roughly 5 days in my possession and but with in depth build threads as well as well documented maintenance i felt as if it was only right to continue that. Will try to continue updates on the build.

Road to 200K!

after the first 1K mi of driving around TX in the car it started have sort of a rough idle/misfire every now and then with no codes. Took it into the shop i get most of my work done to smoke test, do an oil change and change out the brake pads. After a day at the track it decided to finally throw me the codes for misfire in bank 1 with P0171 codes. threw new plugs + bank 1 coils and a MAF, codes thankfully went away and has been pulling strong! Car did awesome on track as well maintaining temps and not having any issues. Swapped over my RIA’s as well but the rears don’t fit without new coilovers + adjustable arms so will probably end up selling.

Very belated congrats. Get some proper comp wheels on that beauty! Just had to do alternator on mine.
