APEX | SM-10RS Technical Overview & E46/E92 Double Feature

With the launch of our SM-10RS, we wanted to create a video that both showcased our all new design as well as some of the shared characteristics of all of our Sprint Line wheels that separate these forged wheels from the competition.

With several SM-10RS features already live, we wanted to focus on a single fitment in this post that is also a single width and offset. 18x10 ET25 is one of our most popular fitments in 5x120 BMW wheels of all constructions because of its versatility. This single size works on a number of M2,3,4, and 5 models and has been a staple square fitment as well as a front or rear wheel fitment for a variety of staggered setups spanning more than 25 years of BMW production. We’ve added a number of color options including Motorsport Gold 18x10 ET25 EC-7RS wheels to our ongoing Group Buys for those looking to snag their own set of these wheels at a discount. These deals end in less than 5 days so don’t miss your chance to pick up a set!

We chose to showcase 18x10 ET25 square in our SM-10RS design initially on an E92 M3. 18x10 ET25 square has been a staple fitment for a huge range of E9X M3 customers looking for a rotatable fitment that reduces understeer both on the street and on the track. 275/35-18 remains one of the best supported 18” tire sizes with a huge range of tire options on the market for all types of driving. This post contains some wallpaper worthy shots so be sure to use the gallery links to view the full resolution images on our new website.

E46 M3 on EC-7RS

Both of the APEX employees shown in the SM-10RS technical video above own E46 M3s. Ryan’s M3 is a more hardcore track-oriented build, but Yo’s E46 is no slouch with an aggressive track alignment and Ohlins suspension. Both cars run 18x10 ET25 square which is a perfect aggressive E46 M3 fitment for those willing to dial in significant negative camber. The 10” wide wheels are the perfect platform on which to mount aggressive track tires and we think the EC-7RS is the ideal classic mesh design to help showcase the 18x10 ET25s versatility on what is quickly becoming a timeless BMW M car.

The EC-7RS is our stiffest Sprint Line wheel by a significant margin. This design brings consistency to those running slicks or aggressive aero on their track cars where it is needed lap after lap. We opted to shoot Yo’s E46 M3 with these wheels and the shoot and videos were both fantastic. We aren’t done with this E46 yet though. If you’d like to follow this car and Yo, keep an eye on our youtube channel for a look at what it's like Living with an E46 M3.
