335i coupe $51600
Premium $4200
sports package $2000
metallic paint $800
Burl Walnut Wood Trim $0
Telephone and BMW Assist Prep. $$1100
19" alloys $1500
Total MSRP $61200
Less Discount $1985

subtotal: $59215

Freight and PDI-3 series $1895.00
registration fee $395.00
tire Levy $16.00

total sales price: $61521
GST: $65212.26
PST: $0 (hehehe, move to Alberta , its worth it, and we need the work force!)
Total purchase: $65212.26
Re-negotiated price of $64000 all in, including winter floor mats (signed as per Sales Manager) :rocks:

Thats what it reads on my reciept. I cant get the numbers to correspond to the number i initially posted! Like i said im no math Nazi, Im now getting a price of $67316.36 for total price. Bottom line is that here in Edmonton , a new BMW oultet opened up and the competition here is fierce. Bavaria BMW has been here forever and a day, Edmonton BMW just opened, so Bavaria has been aggressively discounting to keep previous customers. I say lets all take advantage of this

youyou has a smokin deal considering he is a first time buyer. Did you threaten the sales manager with physical aggression? Hehehe, good for you, cause you got a terrific deal!

And this was back in October when it was much harder to get good deals...

I noticed that all of you guys are listing $1895 for freight and PDI. I was under the impression that freight and PDI was standard across all dealerships. However, on my deal, it says friehgt and PDI is $2,095. I called the dealer and he said that it is expected to go up when I take delivery of my car, so he put the expected amount.

Does this seem right? I would have thought that you use the figures at the time of order, not the time of delivery.

Anyways, if the freight and PDI prices don't increase at time of delivery, is it even legal for them to charge an inflated amount?

I got a GREAT deal, so I don't want to bitch, but I feel like I might have been taken advantage of on this one part of the deal.

Sounds like to me. I would ask why frieght and PDI is $200 (4%) more than the rest of the country. The Dealer accounting for inflation? The dealer made a clerical error on your deal and is trying to make up for it? Sounds fishy to me.

I don't think it is a clerical error ... I think they genuinly do believe that by the time of delivery that the price of freight and PDI will increase.

But the question is, should I be paying current prices, or the price at pickup. I would have thought that you pay the current price, because that is all that knows.

I will talk to them again about it and if they do not change it, I will mention that I will put a call in with BMWNA to inquire about it.

So good that my dealer has forbid me to tell. I won't say exactly, but it is better than all of the deals posted so far (although, not by much).

Haha, I love these sorts of answers. I say share the deal, your under a alias name, and whats the worse that can happen, sales manager will hang you? Sarcastic remarks aside....bottom line is EVERYONE wants a good deal, and if we as consumers can stick together, then everyone gains in the long run. If you notice the American thread on this issue, it is packed full of information regarding the price of thier vehicles! This way, it creates competition, and if anything, the dealer should and would be thanking you for all the extra business you bring them!

My .02 cents
