CSL SMG CODING inquiry

Hey Guys,

So i just got a dyno tune for my car, which included the CSL ECU and CSL SMG module tunes. The car drives great, but when i down shift (while braking), the car engine brakes immediately... no blip whatsoever. I almost get tossed into the windshield, that how hard the engine braking is. In S3, it seemscto blip correctly, but anything above that, its a violent jerk forward.

Has anyone else experienced this? Does the ECU have to adapt?

Thanks in advance!

CSL ECU? So I'm assuming you're running a CSL air box. Sounds like the transmission is downshifting without blipping the throttle. Right? So do you feel the same thing, but worse, when you down shift without braking?

I'm moving this to the Coding and Tuning section.

Thanks Andrew.

Yes, i have the CSL airbox with working flap. My ecu was converted to the csl version (h bridge). Yes, its the same feeling as downshifting without touching anything. So is no blip, just kill myself engine strain

I would check the CSL SMG parameters. Definitely should rev-match downshift. You can also try ECUWorx's MSS54/HP tool to enable CSL interetia update and make sure rev matching is enabled.

I have Martyn's tool. When i upload my bin, CSL intertia and downshift blips are greyed out... :-(.
