Brake upgrade options

I am not in a rush to upgrade my brakes, but at some point in the near future, I will be replacing my ZCP rotors, hence my contemplating an upgrade.

I think I will be staying with my stock ZCP brake setup and I also have a set of 17" Apex wheels still in boxes that I planned to use for track days, but that has not happened yet.

So, what are the options these days that would be a mild upgrade and also allow the use of 17" wheels?

Thanks.

I would suggest some aggressive pads, stainless steel brake lines and new brake fluid.

That's probably a wise advice.

I have StopTech Street Performance pads on now and I'm happy with them. For track days, I will look for something better when I get new rotors.
Brake fluid is RBF600 just because I had some on the shelf. It will need flushing before any autosport outing I'm sure as it will be a while.

Thanks!

i run the OEM, non-zcp brake setup with PFC08's on blank rotors, SS lines, and endless fluid. holds up pretty awesome at the track.

If you want a caliper upgrade, the best value is the Aston Martin DB9 front caliper and Porsche 996 rear calipers. Best part, it uses your CSL/ZCP rotors. Just an option.

Otherwise a pad upgrade and stainless steel lines will be plenty for street and mild track use.

Thank you both.
That's a nice caliper upgrade option!

I think after all the couch racing in my mind, I will stick with my ZCP calipers and get new OEM rotors. Some better pads may be the best option for my situation as I will likely not see much track time in the foreseeable future, so there's no need to snowball a sinple rotor replacement.

I already have SS lines and 17" Apex wheels, so I think after new rotors and pads, my money is best spent on some sticky 255/40R17 tires and go have fun when the opportunity returns.
If my talent outruns this hardware, I'll know the money will be well spent on the above options.
