E46 To E46 M3 Conversion
my freind just got a really clean 01 E46 coupe (its was a complete steal only $2800) and he wants it to look like a m3(cuz hes soo jelouse of my E92)
hes wants the fenders, bumpers, and everything else m3 , i think most of the parts are just a straight swap but i just wanted to know if u guys can confirm it thanks in advance P.S. if you have any pics of previous conversions it would be great, i tried serching but no luck yet

The user MITE46 on fanatics did a full conversion. It took a rather incredible amount of research, effort, and money to make it happen. Your friend is definitely better off selling his current car and grabbing a higher-mileage E46 M3 (you can find them under $13k now) rather than attempting any sort of conversion.

he has the money and the time to waste , so i think hes gonna do it on his own, i already told him exactly what you said
the E46 is really good for what he paid ,less thank 20 k miles its just a toy car for him, he drives a new car every year ,right now hes in one of those new infiniti FX

Money aside, why would anyone waste their time on this? As has been pointed out it will be cheaper to just buy an M3. If he's looking for a project turn and E46 M3 into a CSL.
