If you select the "Luxury Package" for the 2025 M60, the configurator does NOT show the wood trim for the center console. I wonder if that's just a bug in their website?

Probably. Wouldn’t be the first bug. I’d go by the ordering guide

It’s still listed in the written description for the package, however (glass and wood controls). I would trust the description over the rendered interior visual.

Congrats on the new ride. I might be one of the few, but I love the older/regular steering wheel. It suits the iX perfectly.

This steering is BMW factory placed ?

It is identical to X1 X2. I guess they would put at least 5 series design which has high gloss polished button surfaces.

There are no ‘NACS’ plugs in the EU where the OP resides; not even the Tesla S/C sites use it, as the CCS 2 plug is the EU standard.

I feel like the original iX steering wheel was designed for those who use the practical wheel a lot less (using DAS), like myself, who the vast majority of the time has one hand resting in the bottom center. However, I can see the appeal of the round steering wheel if you're the type to use the wheel a lot more often to get a more traditional driving experience. Either way, it should be a choice imho, not an upgrade. Probably why they added the red accents and M60 badge...cause then they can psychologically justify the additional $400 for the change.

I'd flip it around. I was in the camp of not liking the wheel at first use. However, for drivers who generally hold the wheel at the 10-2 or 9-3 position, it is freakin' brilliant.

I can´t understand why BMW are continuing using the tacky red stripe on a "luxury car". It looks so much better on the iX xDrive40 and iX xDrive50.

Welcome to the steering wheel of the 90's. The current one fits the vehicle better.

200 % with you on that one. My 1st EV was the ox (leased car) but I am pretty sure my second one will be a Porsche (bought). Potentially a Macan EV if they don’t have the Cayenne EV.

Probably. Most reviews of any B&W system put it at the top of any system they have reviewed. The iX is the best of the best.

It’s better than the B&W in our X7.
Also better than the B&O in the SQ7.

Roger that. Can't speak to the X7, but much better than the top B&O in our previous Audis.

B&O in Audi also removes trunk space underneath the deck. The iX has space under the rear deck which is nice. This is also a consideration
