Driver restraint system restricted

My first fault code today. The message directed me to the car owners handbook to recalibrate the driver seat. The instructions were not really clear or not well written. Per the writeup, I moved the driver's seat to forward extremities but it didnt do anything. So i moved my seat to the rear extremities and forth. Apparently moving to rear extremities helped to get rid of the fault message, for now. Hope it doesn't pop up again tomorrow

P.s. My apologies if there were previous thread on this. I don't really know how to use the search functions

Had exactly the same issue. It was also paired with my seat not moving back and forward in one smooth move, it always stopped, so I had to press the button again.

Did two things:
1. Moved the seat back and forward all the way a few times
2. Restarted the iDrive a few times (also in the service mode)

After that the error disappeared and seat started working normally.

Moved seat all the way back, it worked fault has disappeared, for now.

Keep those cameras clean too. Remember that you can do that from inside of the vehicle…

Squeaky clean. All round. Rides are so expensive here, most are kept near oristine condition.

Software error. There’s a programming update that fixes this issue.

Happened to me as well. There was a seat calibration error before. Put the seats all the way forward according to seat calibration instructions, it didn't work. Then I tried all the way back, heard a click, and then all errors went away.

If you have this issue bring to dealer. Most of these need software update to prevent seat calibration from being lost
