1rmy7 I've been thinking of adding some motorsport gold wheels to my soon to be arriving Chalk M3, but I love the powdercoat idea versus buying a whole new set of wheels. Where did you get this done? I'm just skeptical of taking my car to some random wheel place around here to get this done ... |

We do this at our shop. The color is Roman bronze by prismatic powders. I actually really like these wheels and don’t plan on buying a new set. When I decided to powdercoat I didn’t want a super dark bronze color. This is just that it’s more like a bronze silver

Ha! My wife is not a drinker so if we go out she has no choice but to be the DD. Sometimes we take the M3. The stark difference between how she drives her car vs mine is pretty hilarious.

I just tell her to give it the beans and she obliged, all I could ask for! I also trust her driving but she finally gave into my requests to drive it and ended up loving it.

Do you have more pics in direct sun. They look more silver than bronze.

Been there, done that! I store my Quickjack lifts under the middle of the car when not being used. I found that because of the color contrast with the garage floor the collision avoidance would activate and stop me from backing up. I put a gray colored plastic tarp over the Quickjacks which helped with backing over them. However one day when I backed into the garage I smelled something burning. When I looked under the car the tarp was bunched up and pushed against the exhaust system. I pulled off the excess melted plastic but it still smelled each time I drove the car untill I changed out the midpipe.

Hahaha...House was built in 1997. It's not quite as steep as those but it is a practice of slow and steady and as close to a 45-degree angle when leaving and entering the driveway.

Thanks!
I went with H&R Sports in the front and rear. However, I found the rear was too low for my liking so I went back to stock in the rear and kept the H&R Sports in the front. I'm running 15mm spacers in the front and 13mm in the rear.

It’s better but not totally fixed. I’ll get it professionally repaired at some point but for now I’m not worried about it.
