Really dislike the color scheme. Leave the 70's in the 70's.

On the other hand, I LOVE traditional paint schemes. They should bring back big tobacco advertising, Ferrari + Marlboro = perfect combo on a car.

However Scuderia Ferrari has carried their red livery pretty much since the beginning of Formula 1...but JPS livery only started in the 70's when Imperial Tobacco sponsored Lotus. And Emerson Fittipaldi won as the youngest WDC till 2005. As well as Ayrton Senna in the JPS livery during his 1985-1987 career before moving on to McLaren.
The "real" Lotus scheme was the green/yellow where Colin Chapman started the team. When Lotus Renault took the JPS special for just the look and not the sponsor (well...they couldn't due to regulation)...makes me feel a bit tacky about it, its not like Ferrari, which born as Red...

Red and white is not "dated" like black and gold and like E90 said, it was a sponsor's color scheme, not the team.

I like the black and gold...guess I'm in the minority. And quite frankly, lotus of today is no longer the company that Colin chapman founded and, IMO, don't deserve the green and yellow.
If the car hasnt fallen apart by the end of the race, it's too heavy. |

Lada-Lotus-Renault....I understand that Lada sponsors Petrov but 3 motorist on a single car is just wrong.

So is it going to be Heidfeld or Senna driving in Bahrain?

Personally I think they will need to decide now, so the development of the car for the entire season can be consistent... I'd put my bet on Heidfeld, given the experience and his well known consistency....
