I've owned the car for 3 months, and driven it maybe 500 miles before discovering an imminent rod bearing failure. every fix I make results in 3 more failures. the car is an abysmal nightmare and I regret buying it. every time I look at it I hate it more.

but hey, here's a picture of it...

Gotta be trouble free miles ahead ...

How many miles on the clock and is it a slick-top?

I always liked BMWs. I drove E30s in the 2000s. In 2017 I crossed paths with a E46 M3 at a gas station. It's crazy how these cars don't look so special in photos but when you see them in person... it's a different story.

Here's mine which I bought in 2018: ZCP in Interlagos Blue. Sitting at 74k miles now. I am sad now because I don't know what to do with the subframe issues hanging over my head (I like to go to HPDEs 3-4 times a year). Considering trading for a 2022 Civic SI or a 2022 Nissan Z but I really wish I didn't have to worry about my panels tearing apart and I could keep the E46.

Plenty of E46 track cars out there. Weld in plates, plus x brace up top, and you're set indefinitely.
