I have say... i bought a 02 330ci (see garage) out of warranty...
never again.... after a few months of driving it like its supposed to be driven... "stuff" started to go wrong... first was the alternator($1100.00 gone) then the battery, then some werid noise from the motor...etc etc... i stopped enjoying my drive because i was always freaked about something happening... and it did.... alot!!! my first cpo was e46 M3... i drove it like a bitch... it loved it...i loved it... oddly enough not a single repair was needed in all the time i owned it... and even if it did i didn't care coz it was cpo'ed do it for peace of mind and so you can drive an M like an M .... go cpo... bmw offers extended warranties beyond the factory one's... look it to that.. just my two cents |

Not sure if I or someone had mentioned this, but the e46 had a history of subframe cracking... believe BMWNA had a announcement bulletin on it
