Smile Yellow Brembo 996 BBK - E46 M3 - ready to install

BIMMERPOST / Classifieds
Asking Price:

Item Interest

SOLD

For sale is a full set (4) of Porsche 996 Brembo calipers ready to be installed on the E46 M3, refinished in @Yellow@. Part #s 996.351.425/426 & 996.352.421/422. The fronts' mounts have been machined 5.5mm to fit the E46, and the rears' x-pipes swapped to fit the E46's position vs. porsche's.

This set is from a 2001 Boxster S with 84k I disassemble, inspect, test, clean (media blast), machine, recondition rubber parts, repaint, clear coat, & cure them so they are 100% ready for install. I buy lower mileage calipers so as to avoid any trouble, but I replace seals, dust boots, and bleeder caps if there is any cracking or tears, loose/ripped seals or stuck pistons and replace pipes, bleeders and pad clips if there's corrosion or damage. On this set, the dust boots are in great condition and pistons all moved with a hand pump so no sticking or blown seals. Please see the HD pics.

Included are a full set of used pads & the brake pad clip sets, but not included are new pads, lines, brackets and rotors you'd need to complete the kit. I do this on purpose as A) I can't offer better pricing or any warranty (FCP is best for rotors/pads!) or free shipping like FCPeuro or other retailers can & B) not every kit will be the same - those of you with ZCP cars would not need to buy rotors, and those with non-ZCP cars can elect to only get CSL front rotors and reuse your stock rear rotors to save $, not to mention everyone's brake pad preference. I'm happy to find you the links to the other parts you'd need for your install, and make recommendations. I can also throw in a used pair of pads if you're on a budget, but I don't recommend it.

You'd spend somewhere around $2000-2700 (depending on options) for a full 996 kit (including these calipers) in comparison to the $3-$5k+ cost of used/new Stoptech/Ap/Brembos/et al. Having said that, it must be understood that I am not an OEM, and my paint job is not as perfect as Brembo's - there are minor imperfections. Also, I offer no warranty of any kind. I buy low mileage calipers in working condition, and then I further test and inspect them myself. It must be accepted that you are buying used auto parts from an individual, no matter how much testing or inspection I do. * This is a DIY kit, there will be some work needed to install like cutting the rear rotor shields, for example. See links below for DIYs and other info, besides searching the forum for other threads/DIYs. Buyer assumes responsibility for success of the installed kit.

$Sold Payment: Cash (local), Paypal, Venmo & Zelle. Please PM me.

Shipping is $36 USPS priority (2-3 day). Local pick up welcome. Very affordable local installation available as well.

Please PM me
Thank you, Tyler

Rotors from any Genuine BMW parts retailer (I suggest FCPeuro.com & Husker - BMWdirectparts.com) Front #s 34112282445 & 34112282446 Rear #s 34212282303 & 34212282304 OE BMW or OEM Zimmermann
Pads (porsche pads) from FCPeuro, ECS, Pelican et al
I don't recommend (heavy, unnec) pad dampers (weights) for noise control, but they can be bought on ECS or pelican. OE is $$$, "Uro" is cheap - I can provide part #s.

I know these fit the same rotor the z4 uses as it uses a 345mm CSL/ZCP rotor and the rears are same as e46, 325x20mm.

I just don't know about the kingpin where the caliper mounts, if it's the exact same. I don't really see any Z4s doing this conversion, only e36 m3 on 325mm rotors and e46 m3 with 345mm rotors.

I will be making more, but it will be a while to be honest.

What do you mean when you say the rear x pipes were swapped for bmws mount instead of Porsche's?
