Delage intake: I believe they go for $1500-$2000 used.
How much do the door cards go for? Eddie just suggested it so if you don't sell I could use them or go with mine. The handle is just peeling a little but wasn't gonna go too far to make it pretty. Really isn't the point.

Your radio. I just installed an aftermarket radio. Pioneer head unit, hybrid audio 5.25 comps in the front doors and an alpine amp in the trunk. I can remove/install the amp in about 2 minutes.

Door cards? I just got some super messed up black ones off of ebay...$120/pr (Its a track car!). But a nice black set go for about $100-$150 incl arm rest. Red or cinnamon is more. Gray is near worthless.

primebmw has a set that are a little better off wear wise than mine for the door cards. not a bad idea about the stereo. i have something laying around that would work probably.

Its a track car...who cares?

I cut a piece of plywood to fit into the "spare tire well", I just need to finish it up and then I'll post pics. Not hard to do. I traced the Styrofoam thing and cut it about 1" smaller around the edge so the board sits down in the well. I'll run a bolt through the bottom, secure it to the sheet metal and then bolt it up to the board. I just need to figure out how I'll make the board sit level, probably just bolt on a hockey puck or something on the bottom.

But I'll stack an Alpine PDX-F4 and PDX-12 underneath the OEM trunk floor. Oh yeah...I'm putting the boom in!

I heard that hot women love lots of bass...at least that's how Vin Diesel rolls.

I tried the iPhone thing but the headphone cord gets in the way. I've taken out the center console so I have no place to put it.

I'm guessing this half stripped thing isn't gonna last long and I will have out the rest of the interior as well, stereo, ac as well.

You have to be careful with the mods. For race cars, more mods don't mean more value. I'd stay close to a BMWCCA, SCCA, and other racing series. Also look at NASA and what TT class M3s are competitive in (I think mostly TTB). Otherwise if it comes time to sell, you'll take a massive loss if you over modify. Or you just won't be able to sell it. Versus just a big loss if you keep it close to the racing organization specs. Or if you decide to race then you're not removing the mods.

Quite honestly, I think carbon fiber parts are a total waste of $$$. If you tell me that a CF roof totally transformed the car...I will tell you you're full of sh1t. There are MUCH better places to spend the $$$.

I think some series will move you up a couple of classes if you have a carbon roof or even a FG sunroof delete. If you look at the E9X M3...it starts in NASA TTB with almost no room for mods. The carbon roof and DCT really bumps it up. I think after tires you're bumping up against TT3.

i dont even have a clue as to what class i would be closest to. just being built as a semi dual purpose car instead of the e90 at this point. the chump car will be my actual race car.

I would talk to people and maybe some shops. If you stay close to the Bimmerworld build you should be good...minus the aero and CF airbox. Just something to be aware of before you start bolting on every mod you can find.

For that reason, as an example, I'd stay away from the CF roof because of its permanent nature. Most people in the market for a used racecar will not want that. Unless you are willing to stick with the car to the bitter end.

no probably wont be doing any mods like that so was thinking like you said i guess. cf hood is in place only because it came that way. all i really have left to do after this round is rod bearings, bw clutch, front bbk and ducting. then tune myself until im at the limit then wrench on the car.

Hey man congrats. I missed this thread. I have actually started shopping for an E46 M3 as a dedicated track car - maybe next year I'll pull the trigger.

It should be a fun project. Definitly in for updates.
