My Mom's side is from Slovakia, so this is practically a traditional meal on get-togethers. Its definitely an acquired taste, lol. I couldn't even stand the smell of it growing up, but can't get enough of it now. I think we put sauerkraut in ours, but not certain. |

I reactivated my sourdough starter for some pizza.
This was about 70% hydration, which is a bit too much in my opinion, 66% seems to be the sweet spot. The dough was a little too soft to handle easily, and I had to be very careful to not tear it. It was delicious however. My 10 year old now prefers sourdough, which is a little surprising. |

IT just seemed right to have hot dogs yesterday. I saw Ball Park makes Angus dogs, so gave them a try. Not sure they are completely worth the extra $, but still pretty good. Also had some cajun sausage, and then wife said there was a bag of carne asada that needed to be either cooked or trashed. The sweating last night was either sunburn, or the meat sweats. OK, the Sho Chiku Bai may have contributed to sweating too.

Salsa!
I told Alexa to play Salsa and got inspired to make it! Black bean, tomato, corn, cilantro, cumin, jalapeņo, red onions, scallions, lime, chipotle and garlic. So amazing. And then I broiled some fresh Salmon.

I know it's not dinner, more of a mid day snack. Went to the Asian grocery store to resupply some staples, and you gotta get some crispy roast pork
