Well its assembled and sitting on it for 3 seconds my balls and ass hurt. It's a wall hanger now. Looked at seat specs and says cushion level of broken glass on concrete. I'm unsure now why adults who own cars need a bike.

The Search for the Perfect Saddle is something all riders go through. I'm on my 6th saddle and I think I've finally found one I can tolerate for a few hours. It's a Cobb Randee. Pricey, but worth it. YMMV.

I don't wanna try 47 seats they should make them comfortable to start. As hard and small as they can make them has no chance of success. Unless your a midget porn star

Best saddle I've tried so far. Find a dealer and rent one for a week.

Curious why you did not go with the integrated Dura Ace Power Meter (R9100-P)? I started using PowerTap before it was cool to have a power meter and love the data. On another note, those new Trek's have made a huge leap and look great - congrats on your new bike. I ride a Time now, and it is the most comfortable bike for me, but then again, I come from another era when we all all thought Reynolds and Columbus tubing was the pinnacle of technology! Suffice to say, I've seen a ton of change in the industry, BTW, my first Trek was the carbon/aluminum back in the very early 90's. I appreciate your post as it reminded me just how far Trek has come even while having to survive the tumult the industry has experienced over the past decade. Here's a link to the Dura Ace power meter: http://www.cyclingnews.com/news/shim...loton-in-2018/

I originally ordered (and paid for) the Garmin Vector 3S pedals back in October for my current bike. They were supposed to ship "in a few weeks" at that point. I'm still waiting (along with thousands of other angry riders). At the time I had a pure Garmin environment when it came to data collection. Garmin Edge 1000, Garmin HRM, Garmin Speed and Cadence sensors, Garmin watch. So it made sense to stick with the Garmin pedals. Plus I liked the idea I could go cheaper now and buy the single-side version and upgrade later to both sides without breaking the bank. But then I started riding Zwift on my indoor trainer running off an AppleTV 4 and needed Bluetooth Smart sensors for that, so that kind of messed things up. With the purchase of this bike, my current bike becomes my dedicated indoor trainer. That means I can go back to pure ANT+ for my road bike, which will be a good thing. I've had the BT on my current trainer setup just drop out completely in the middle of a ride, which is frustrating.

Just went out for quick ride and of course started raining as soon as I did. Don't understand the gears apparently very well and abused my legs on a hill trying to sort it out.

im in the same boat but couldnt justify the garmin pedals.
i use my garmin watch for a HRM (on my bike, otherwise the fenix is my prime tracker for any other activity). garmin edge 810. but then, pioneer power meter which includes cadence, and its computer, which pulls more data than the BW interface with the garmin. also, the di2. my biggest complaint is lack of a standard platform, i wind up using too many interfaces to track data. then, just give up tracking.

also, debating on what speed sensor to get. annoying to have another gadget hanging off the bike.

I use a Edge520 for the computer, Powertap P1 pedals for power and cadence, garmin HR Run strap for heart rate. Edge520 also picks up gearing from Sram eTap. Multiple brands aren't a problem any more so long as you're using mainstream brands. My bike looks super clean too. Just the Edge520 hanging off the front, essentially nothing else is visible.

Garmin 810 + Garmin HR, Garmin hub speed sensor, Quarq PM for power/cadence, everything works reliable thankfully. Where you view your data is a different story though. I use TrainingPeaks as my data standard, but everything goes auto to Strava for me as well.

My new bike is in at the LBS. Light as a feather. Can't wait to ride it.

Picked up the new bike on Saturday. Rode 28 miles then and 30 miles today. The bike is sweet. So light and so much power. I've been shaving many seconds off my PRs on Strava segments. Between the bike being 10lbs lighter than my old one and me being 63lbs lighter than I was when I started riding, miles and hills are a lot easier to deal with. The wind still sucks, though.

We had a deer jump through our echelon early one morning. Took one rider down pretty hard. I called him Deer Boy from then on.

Yep. Work on your tuck. It's possible to make yourself pretty small and still make power.

@M_Six, nice looking bike bro. Glad you are enjoying your new toy. Very good job on the weight loss. I'm a tad jealous. I was hoping to loose 10lbs but I've only managed to lose 5 lbs since I started riding in June of 2017. What's nice though was that my cardio improved significantly. My legs are somewhat getting stronger but like everything else, it improves over time.

Be safe and keep riding!

Hey m_six what's the brand on frame bag, looking for one with right hand side zipper to conceal carry while on bike. I have opposite problem of you I'm up weight and like my bike is slower than my old mountain bike.

It'd have to be a small piece. Barely room in this for my wallet and keys on one side and glasses on the other. But if it were any wider, it'd rub against my legs.
