The body lines of the E46 are perfect while the E92 almost seem out of place - as if the E92 was too long. I like the look of the E90 sedan but the coupe just looks funny in my opinion.

I have an E86 M coupe as well as an E90 335i. While I like the torque and gas mileage out of the 335i nothing compares to the S54 screaming to redline. If I could have done it over again I would have bought an E46 M3 as a daily driver and turned the E86 into a track car. As our Muslim friends would say, Enshallah...

I just traded in my 06 E46 M3 last week... I went to the dealer and parked beside my old car on Saturday.

Carbon Black, beside Jerez Black, it brought a tear to my eye. The wife would not let me have two M3s, unlike some of the lucky guys here.

you could not have said this better. the e9x appeals more to the non enthusiast crowd. there is a huge diff between the guys who like cars and guys who are enthusiasts. you can tell in 1 second by what they drive and what mods they have and what they say. the e9x is more a heavy luxury car not a pure everyday racecar. the e46 is classy gentleman subtle sexy timeless german engineering perfection. the e9x is fast and fun but it is just less of a driving expirience. i like the e9x m3 but it lacks that raw pure feeling. the looks are ok and i too prefer the e90 over e92. seems like most the kids on here just like the status of the new m3 image. ooooo carbon fiber oooooo v8 oooooo double clutch oooooo its like 5% faster and it costs more so that makes me a car enthusiast cuz its popular in all the magazines pfff NOT!!! it seems like a lot of these kids are financing their e9x m3's. if you cant afford to write a check for the entire cost of the car you should not be driving it PERIOD. if you dont have 100,000 at the very least in the bank after you buy your m3 than you pry should buy another car that you can afford. just cuz you can just barely make your payments does not mean you should own the car. one of the biggest ways to insure that you will not increase your wealth is to lease a car that you can just barely make payments on. please do yourself a favor and buy a car that you can afford. its not cool to lease the e9x. buy an e46 and have a better more respectable classy car. this is very annoying to have a car just for status. have more respect for yourself and the car.
