It is an aftermarket paint job done by a PO. However, they did do a full disassembly of the car to paint it it appears, because the door jambs are painted, the underside of the trunk, the small rail of each fender that sits under the hood, etc. Unfortunately, I was never given a paint code tho lol.
Now that the car is 17 years old, the wear on the paint is starting to show, both bumpers could really use a respray. It also has a cinnamon interior which I love on its own, but an orange exterior with a cinnamon interior is a bit overwhelming. I may wrap the car in estoril or interlagos down the road for that nice contrast in color like Frozen's pictures. But for now I have ALOT of maintenance to catch up on because the car sat in a garage and was neglected for years by the previous owner |

I owned a 135i. Engine-wise, a 135i is close enough to a 1M to compare. The 135i was a rocketship to 50mph, gutless after that. An E46 M3 keeps pulling 'til your bravery runs-out, in my case, 140mph.
IMO...

I've seen a few ZCP cars coming through BAT over the last couple of months and have been thinking of pulling the trigger. From the look of your car there are still some very nice, unmolested examples out there waiting to be found. Nice find!
