Perhaps I am naive, but I've never understood doing drugs. Various types of that crap were easily available when I was in Vietnam and I passed at every opportunity. The shit was cheap, too. I mean, what's the point? Boredom? Escape (from what?).

Too many other things to do.

I don't smoke anymore. Not good for my health. Don't really have edibles, either. Maybe once in a blue moon. I have a few glasses of wine on a Friday night. That's about it for me these days.

Was gonna say the same thing. If youre completely dry then maybe you can talk but if youre drinking coffee or alcohol you are taking a mind altering drug.

Many of us, including me, even mentioned in our posts why.

Back in the day, when I was a teen/20, it was to get fucked up without "consequence." My friends were all getting drunk at parties off cheap ass beer and getting hangovers, I could get stoned and then have fun at a party or just sit with friends and giggle too much at a movie that wasn't as funny as we thought, or pretend we are solving the worlds problems. You know, the same shit 90% of people are doing at bars. Only difference is my pillow felt cold as ice, never got roomspin and woke up the next morning fresh as a daisy.

Now the hard shit, nope. Saw the potential consequences of that stuff in friends and quickly realized there is no real "casual" use.

I dont like the smell of smoke anymore and dont want to get "fucked up." So usually its just a buzz, just like a drinking buzz. Or its in place of an OTC painkiller/sleep aid using the low temp vape (no smoke, considerably fewer potential carcinogens) and I get to avoid all of the potential liver damage that comes with NSAIDS and the like (seriously, look up the harmful dose that even the brand admits, let alone the CDC).

I'm basically just doing the dry vape (not oil but actual flower that gets toasted in a little oven basically, to the point there are even good complex nutty flavors that are created like smoking meats/cheeses), good wine, good whisk(e)y/tequila/cognac, and microbrews when I'm out.

Its all the same, I'm partying like an old white man no matter what it is.

Not funny, but it kinda is as I can relate. I made my sister some medicated coffee, made with infused coconut oil. Somehow, in the 45 minutes that it took her to drive home, she accidentally hit her hazard light button on the dash. This was around brunch. She called me at 9:00 pm to let me know that she drove home with her hazards on, unknowingly; but the issue was that almost home, she realized they were on, forgot to turn them off, then when her husband came home, he asked why her car was parked almost sideways in the garage with the hazards on.

I can only speak to my experiences. Abusive home when I was younger, I needed a way to escape my reality. As an adult, PTSD. Self medicating with THC beats the shit out of what therapists prescribe for PTSD. I was a nut case for close to year while they were trying to "dial in" my meds. I stopped the meds and started cannabis treatment, based off advice from....well, my therapist. My life has been way more enjoyable since. I do not advocate drug use in any form, but I will say that my night-terrors and triggers are now an exception rather than the expectation.

I never got into nose clams. I did try paper acid and shrooms but always had a bad time (not sick, just didnt enjoy it).

I think I was always just a little to go-go, type-a, OCD, and high strung for stimulants. I think if I did coke Id be on the news for breaking into peoples garages, rearranging their tools, and yelling at them that it was not setup for proper workflow. I think my friends preferred me a little unwound anyway.

Admittedly viagra was always something we were curious about but were always terrified of what happened when youre healthy.

I came from an abusive home too. My father used to terrorize us. My mother died at a young age because of him. I was heading in a bad direction and would've ended up totally different than I am if not for meeting my wife at 19, married at 20. She completely turned my life around. Had something (someone) to live for.

It turned out with me feeling selfish afterwards. I love that man and always do everything with him. It was just a nibble and the got damn plane took off with me in it , but I swore I didn't buy a ticket.

Told him not to eat a piece because he would be way behind.

Delta 8 is great though. With traditional weed, I'd be pacing the floor and talking myself down from an intense high. Back in the last century, weed wasn't so specialized like today. Back then, I'd enjoy the high like delta 8. Today's weed? It's like craft beer, keep brewing and experimenting till it's nasty and ruined.

I feel like our personalities are alike. I'm very much OCD, Type-A and stay wound tighter than a banjo string (My TN is showing). I found that stimulants have a catalyst affect, it makes me more calm and rational thinking.....slows things down a bit.

BTW, viagra, if you're healthy, keeps you healthy, but with a big gigantic strong ween that you can arm wrestle with. !/4 of one is really all a person needs. If I take a half, I'm good for about 12-14 hours. I don't need to take them, but some days the appetite is bigger than what the body can physically handle or if I'm planning a marathon. Hooray for science!

Just worried about the priapism risk. Ive had a couple of extended sessions before and it starts to ache just from the pressure, the idea of a 4 hour woody sounds awful.

It doesn't work quite like that. When needed/provoked, it does what it's supposed to. Just like any other time, if you stop...provoking it, it goes back to sleep. Provoke it some more and....yep, it comes right back to life. A friend of mine is a pharmacist, the generics are $5 each. Quarter those up and you have yourself a pretty good time for $1.25.....or the recipient (look at how professional I'm being) has a great time for $1.25. The trick is to have multiple sessions rather than a marathon of all at once. I can run 4 miles in just over an hour non-stop, but even I pace myself in this area.
