Another reason I did not sign on with XPEL

The proximity of these Xpel installers and/or any other major brand only helps in your decision making process as you can compare the reviews, personally inspect the shops to see the quality of their work and finally get some real competitive price quotes. I would prefer this to some geographic areas where there is only one shop in your area and you have to drive a great distance to visit another one. Therefore I really don’t understand your statement.

If someone wants to spend their money on PPF it is their choice.
You're not disagreeing though lmao. PPF makes total sense for select scenarios but it's a scam in almost every other (Leases, people who buy new cars every 3-5 years, etc). I've flushed like 40k down the toilet on PPF over the years. While I'm glad I got it on my track cars, the rest of them were pointless. Getting an annual detail and paint correction would cost a fraction of the outrageous inflated PPF costs these days.

If you have the means to get ppf for peace of mind then do it but spending 10% of your MSRP on it is silly. You can repaint your entire car for the price of PPF.

This is a case of different strokes for different folks. I would prefer to not have to repaint my cars.

Yeah but how many people have to repaint their cars? Lol.

No hard feelings, just telling OP to think about what he's actually paying for.

My statement comes from the side of the business owner. It helps the consumer "you" definitely.

But when XPEL comes in and tells you that you have to drop every single brand you associate with to carry and use their products, promises you that no one within a 25 mile radius will be able to also use XPEL, then turns around and doesn't honor that exclusivity - it really puts a bad taste in your mouth as a business owner.

This is just the tip of the iceberg of some things they do.

Just letting you in on a little behind the scenes from a different vantage point.

Actually, I have a very good friend who was an Xpel installer and I know all about their practices. My responses are totally from the viewpoint of a consumer.
