Hello all,
I'm new to the Bimmerpost forums, to the e46 chassis, and to BMW ownership in general, so I figured I'd come here to share the first German addition to the family! Here is my 2005 Interlagos blue e46 m3 ZCP slicktop w/ m anthracite cloth interior and a 6spd manual conversion. I'd been side-eyeing the e46 game for a few years and, unfortunately, didn't pick the best time to get into one. However, I figure the demand for analog cars this good will keep going up and with a spec like this, I couldn't pass up the opportunity! Car was sourced from Florida with 53k miles almost untouched save for tie bars, an OEM CSL style trunk, VANOS solenoid rebuild, subframe reinforcements, and a 6spd manual conversion by EuroMpire in NC. With the anthracite cloth interior, NAV delete, manual seats, and slicktop, this is definitely the "lightweight" spec I was looking for. I thought I was dead set on LSB until I saw how Interlagos metallic looked in person ? absolutely no regrets. Some tasteful modification is in order, likely starting off with a set of KW V2s or Ohlins DFV coils, but I've got the typical BMW housekeeping and preventative maintenance to worry about first. Looking forward to keeping you all posted going forward! Pics: |

Thank you man! Saw your thread on that TiSi you picked up last year, looks awesome! I've always been a fan of the more understated silver.
Also saw you installed the same KW v2s I'm thinking about, how's the ride quality? Anything I should know going into them? |

Beautiful car! Im glad to hear even you have to worry about the little housekeeping and maintenance on that low mileage one. I was expecting the one I picked up to be all good but lights keep popping on the dash and other little things keep happening. But I guess we knew all this when we signed the title.
I look forward to your updates and I hope you go Ohlins |

Beautiful car and best spec possible on a E46 imo. Saw it in person in NC during the SMG swap. Assume ur aware that the two previous owners are here on the forum - good opportunity to get some of the ownership history. Keep the pics coming.

Very nice. I've got an 06 IB, the best way to go! I bought it with Fortune Auto coilovers, so can't talk about difference in ride from stock.

I appreciate that! Honestly, highly recommended them. My M only really see's daily driving and some weekend spirited driving in the backroads, never tracked yet but they are very comfortable and great build quality. You can't go wrong with KW 👍🏽 they would look really good against the interlagos too!

Congrats! You guys are making me jealous with your E46's M3's. I had 5 new ones starting with
2001 2002 2003 2004 2006 My 2006 was my favorite IB ZCP. I sold it to get the E90 M3. Somehow I always miss my old cars but at the time you always want the latest and greatest. I drive an X3MC but wish I still had one of my e46 M3's |

I love my old girl. 98K miles and runs like a top! So much more fun than "faster" cars I have. So linear, the pedals are perfect for blips and no electric steering.
