Not to add to the heaviness but I confess that I really need 2020 to leave. This morning we planned a friends trip between Christmas & New Years. We rented a house outside Breckenridge. It was nice to have something to look forward to & have some excitement. Not even a hour later, one if my best friends texts. She has breast cancer. Y'all, my heart hurts for her. If I wasn't working I would open a bottle of wine stat.

i know exactly how you feel. i cant come to terms how to forgive and forget when the pain is deep. Things were done to literally push my wife away with our 1.5 year old son. |

Years ago, we once stole our boss's gingerbread man (stuffed bear type) that her boss's wife gave to her as a Christmas present. Every morning we put the ginger bread man in different scenarios and took pictures with a Polaroid camera and made ransom notes. We'd request stupid shit, like a large bowl of green skittles. She actually came through with the skittles so we gave her back her gingerbread man though. We did this for a week solid. No one at work had any clue who was doing it aside from me and the other guy. Come to think of it, I don't think we ever told anyone.....they still don't know. Quote:

apartment manager said asbestos is in the wall. 2 months back i drilled 3 holes with screw driver and put this rack up to hold my bike. My bike fell with it and it pulled the screws out. Should i be worried about asbestos exposure? I feel like im gonna slowly die!

Yes you are going to slowly die!
But then aren’t we all? You weren’t sniffing the holes again were ya? You should be ok. You should look up how to do that mounting properly, drywall you need anchors. Hate to post cross thread but curious, did you meet Pickle? |

It sucks. Even though my ex got brutal, bitter and vengeful through the divorce, it was like someone died. We were together 23 years, which was more than half my life. You just have to let it run it's course. You're going to be mad and sad. I locked myself away for a few months. I didn't want to deal with anyone but I set a goal for myself. I signed the papers in early February. I had a trip planned for late April to meet some friends in FL. I told myself that the old me was getting on the plane and the new me was getting off. When I got off the plane, my mourning was over. It's a very personal thing, deal with it however you see fit. Everyone is going to have opinions and give you advice. They mean well but just do you. It will get better. Hang in there. Look on the bright side - at least it was quick. It took three years for me from separation to divorce.
Now I should go back and read this for myself because I'm pretty fucking pissed right now and can't get past it. After 9 years the prick didn't even call or text me when my dad passed away. I'm done with men. The first one took a chunk of change and the second ripped my heart out of my chest and stomped it into little pieces.

https://www.amazon.com/12-TOGGLER-SN...146254&sr=8-19 That duct tape didn't help much did it? I'd be more appreciative to the fact that when the bike/rack fell that it didn't damage the drywall than being exposed to asbestos; but then again, had it damaged the wall, you'd need to be worried about both. Buy those toggle bolts in the link I posted, follow the instructions and mount that bitch back to the wall. |
