I know what you mean, but I've grown to appreciate his channel. I think he delivers a good mix of detail and opinion, without it being too exhaustive to watch casually. Alex on Autos is a good example of too detailed for casual viewing. While I think Alex does a really great job, if I'm not interested in digging into what he's reviewing, I pass on Alex's review.
Overall making these videos is more difficult than it looks.

It’s a nice little car that is woefully overpriced for what you get. Had the opportunity to test drive one in San Antonio early in January, the car salesmen practically kissed my shoes when I told them I was looking at one of them. They had 3 on the lot, including one of the launch editions that was marked at just under 60k. The one I test drove was navy blue and msrped at 56k but “they were willing to work with me” because they needed to move inventory for the new upcoming model. I drove it & wasn’t particularly impressed . The cabin felt small and cramped. The pillars made it hard to see from the corners and I’m only 5’7 and felt that anyone over 6’2 was going to have a hard time not bumping their heads on the roof. The car was agile but lacked the oomph that I get in my n54 e92. In non sport it feels like you’re driving a Camry. Nothing special. Anyways I didn’t push the car too hard because the salesman who got in the car with me happened to be a woman lol but she could tell I wasn’t impressed. They tried to convince me that adding a flash and a pedal tuner would transform the car but I want something that’s fun to drive right out the box. For a 2 door car with 2 seats, the Supra would only be an attractive option if it was priced at around 43-45k, and at its current price point just doesn’t offer enough to justify that tag.

Pretty sure you can get a barely used GT350 or Bmw M3 at 45-47k.

Audi S5, Q60, RCF? Even a base model M2 competition at 58k. All roomier, with more features, horsepower and are actually considered luxury vehicles . For 55k you need a car that’s going to put a smile on your face the minute you drive it off the lot. If you already own a fast car, then it’s probably not going do that. Unless of course you want to add a few additional thousand to mod it but that’s a different story.

No kidding. $46k gets you a Toyota Avalon TRD which is your grandpa's 300 hp Avalon with stiffer shocks and a body kit;

https://www.caranddriver.com/reviews...y-the-numbers/

A fully equipped Subaru STi is ovr $40k and it's a cheap tin can with a 20 year old engine that's pretty well gutless as a street car. A Mustang Bullitt is $47k and while it's capable its still as cheap and poorly made as every other Mustaing that comes out of Flat Rock.

So it’s worth paying 10k more for “Toyota reliability” and an additional 35 hp?
You’re just paying for the Supra name at that point. It’s an m240i with 2 less seats and branded Toyota

Because I foresaw the "but you can buy a used bla-bla-bla" is why I included "stickers at..." You simply can't say a new car isn't worth market value because you can buy something used for the same money.

It's absolutely worth $10k more than an Avalon LOL and the hp doesn't really matter because we know it's making more power than advertised and 2021 models come with 382 hp. You do realize that the Supra is not using the same chassis as the M240i? The reality is that the M2C is an upgraded M240i the the Supra is a Z4 M40i with hard top.

So the Supra "lacked oomph" "feels like you're driving a Camry" and not fun to drive out of the box and it's merely "an M240i with 2 less seats." Is that what you think how the M240i drives as well?

And in response to finding a "$43-45k" comparable car, you named used cars (new and used are apples and oranges!) and then when pressed you named Q60 and RC which are larger cruisers than sports cars. With due respect, are you sure you know what you're talking about?

They didn’t have an m240i at the BMW dealership by me . I did however test drive a 2019 M2 Comp they had at 56k msrp. Now that was a fun car to drive. Pretty sure the RC and Q60 are both coupes that qualify as “luxurious sports cars” lol. Does the Supra?

Im sure because that’s why dealerships are finally cutting msrp prices all over the country for the 2019 Supras. They are simply not a attractive option for the price point they’re currently at. Unless you’re a Supra fanboy or you’re going to mod the hell out of the car you have much better options for that price.

19's are discounted because the A91 has 47 more hp for not much more. And yeah, the whole market sucks right now.

Every time I see someone posting about x model being too large I think "what about the Supra?"
