I watched Venom: Let There Be Carnage today on Firestick. Decently entertaining. I'm watching No Time To Die on Firestick right now. So far, so good.

I truly, truly liked Skyfall the best, followed by Casino Royale. I would rank the current movie alongside Sceptre.

American Animals. Trailer:

I like true crime stories and this was an interesting one. CNBC had an article https://www.cnbc.com/2021/08/15/insi...ot-caught.html .

The movie is not really a "thriller" or suspenseful heist story. It's more of a character piece. It's an okay movie overall, entertaining with some flaws.

I like Evan Peters. He was good in American Horror Story.

He has a prominent role in American Animals. He's good I thought. He kept reminding me of a friend I had in college who was charismatic but also unreliable and sometimes just witless and self-destructive. Also the real person he is portraying appears in the film, and it's interesting to see his performance next to the real person.

My brother and nephew saw it yesterday, both of them loved it but said it was a sad but good ending. Apparently my nephew started to cry. I haven't kept up at all with what happens so I'll be interested in watching it asap.
