I will buck the trend here, and recommend the 135i. The E46 M3 does look better, but the 135i does drive mighty fine, especially with 6MT. One of the biggest influences should be the age of the car. A 10 year old car (i.e. E46) is likely to have more problems than a 1-2 year old 135i. Just food for thought.
