We survived another season of Formula One. Considering we actually marched up to the line of not having a season, based on the the last minute stop of the AUS race. We have had some AMAZING races and I must admit, I'm drunk on the new F1 Triple Headers. It's like a dream come true.
We've had unbelievable races like Turkey, Mugello and Portimao as well as white knuckle endings like Silverstone. In the end we had a 7x WDC crowned with a completely unexpected win based on FP and Quali performance. We had another win from a previously maligned driver by Gasley, and capped the season with a pole and win from VER and RBR in a traditional Mercedes playground.
And while up has been down and down has been up, one thing was demonstrated: Lewis Hamilton has continued to increase his prowess in F1 while pushing his team to develop nuanced areas of the car which turned the already dominant Mercedes platform into a car with nearly zero weaknesses. We saw this in the manner that the W11 rotated into slow corners then leapt from those same corners.
///M Power-Belgium called this out early in the season.
Here are the driver ratings for the Top 10 Drivers of the season including commentary on each driver. Lets see if our own BP Driver Ratings agree, as well. (I'm not including temporary drivers...only the originally registered drivers for each team.)
