They are painted orange... and no you should not drive on the rubber on them.
I used these on my E90 for 1 track day about 10 years ago, then bagged them and put them in my shed. Have not used them since, and just found them again when going to empty the shed. Local pickup preferred, but will ship via UPS store at your expense.
