Maybe they think Prost had a hand in the Balestre scandal.
I never cheered for Prost, I was a huge Senna fan in my teens and early 20's, but hate..nah.
And back in the day, media coverage was way less, and the media was also far more filtered, more polite.
So I can't remember any haters in the F1 fanbase, nor can't I remember any booing from the public (although the italian fans were known for their unconditional support). But not what's going on now, so that hate is I think something from this millennium.
