Thinking of getting an E46 convertible.
I bought a a new 02' E46 convertible 20 years ago. I've had a bunch of cars since. Thinking of picking one up for a fun weekend car and something to tinker with. I am not good with wrenches, but I can handle some small items.
I'm familiar with some of the common issues with the E46 M cars. I'm willing to spend some money fixing things up, but not looking to have a money pit.
I found an 06 with 100k miles that seems to be in ok shape. No service records other than the CarFax.
Is this a bad idea?
