Yeah, picking the GT4 to go against the C8 was a dumb comparison. They made up a bunch of bullshit about the 992 becoming too soft and GT-like and that the GT4 and C8 Z51 were equally track ready which is far from the truth. The Z51 cars are not GTx-level track cars and never have been.

The 911 and Corvette have moved in very similar directions especially over the past 4 generations(996 to 992, C5 to C8). Almost identical in fact(outside of the C8). Heavier, more refined, better interiors, better ride, and more features while offering blazing performance.

In reality, it should've been the 992(base or S) vs C8 just like C/D has done for the past 35 years. They either couldn't get a 992 in time for the test or wanted to try something different just because.

I look forward to a real head to head by a major magazine at some point.
