I've been spending part of my two-week holiday weekend evaluating the open-source Home Assistant as a possible replacement for my current home automation setup. For each thing that it does well, it does two things stupidly.
FYI, BMW ConnectedDrive integration is included in the Home Assistant devices. I can see the odometer on my i3, the current charge state, that's it's plugged in, and even lock/unlock the doors. Sadly, this will all be going away in a month or so, when the 3G cellular networks are shut down leaving many of us with no telematics connections.....
