e46 m3s are amazing in so many ways.
Don't get an SMG, otherwise you will be very happy with any other choices you make!
The E46 had to turn into a 'weekend' car for me because it doesn't have the tech the E92 has.
E46 is lighter, has an amazing engine and sound, mods are cheap and fun, the looks are amazing
However, the nav sucks, the seats aren't as good IMO, stereo not as good, etc... As you can see it makes the E92 amazing for a daily and E46 amazing for weekend driving
