100% fake news (even if there was a illegitimate sale or two)... Hagerty has a valuation tool which is in fair alignment with BaT sales for the most part... same thing with E86 Z4M's...E46 M3's have been discussed as a collectible car for awhile now... A low mileage, clean, well taken care of example is getting rarer hence more valuable as they are desired (supply/demand)
