I found my SMG convertible after searching for a few months for one. I was sold on the great colors (Carbonschwartz/Imola), low miles, and great price, and I was looking for a convertible from the beginning of my search. Did she need some work? Yes, but fortunately nothing major, as a PPI revealed a great engine, transmission and subframe! With a bit of an investment in parts and labor (and some work done by myself), now I have a basically fully restored example for reasonable money. So, get one now while you still can! These cars are getting older and older, and clean well maintained examples will continue to get rarer and rarer as time goes on.
