What I said has nothing to do with enthusiasts. Even ordinary car buyers have a lot of choices. Most people care about what they drive and take car buying very seriously because it is a big purchase and a big part of their life. Very few of them asked for the “innovation” currently found in most cars. Trends start via one car maker doing something, and the rest follow. Screens, rear light bars, aggressive styling, etc. A plumber in Kansas doesn’t want an EV, in fact most of middle America doesn’t, yet that’s what every single automaker, with very few exception, is moving towards. Did the customer ask for that? Sure, maybe 5% did. Makes you wonder…
