Go with the n55 m235, or even a m240, you will get used to the steering.

My wife had a M135i cabby for years and traded it in on the M235i cabby she has now because of the much better tech and phone connection reliability, among other things. The first thing we noted was the feather light steering. Neither of us are big fans of it, but you do get used to it as long as you drive in sport mode. That said, she still misses her M135i.

The M135 we had was N54, the M235i is N55. We really had very little issue with either. A failed electric water pump in the 135, and most recently a blown coolant return tube on top of the radiator in the 235. That’s it in 9 years of owning the 2.

Our M235i cabby will be up for sale in the spring as we just went full adult and bought a 4 door 2018 340i M Performance Edition with 13000km
