It is interesting to me that from the pictures, the purpose of the cut off steering wheel has got to be the provide the driver a clear view of the display (speedometer, etc.). Presumably that is because Tesla thinks it is important to be able to clearly see the display.
Yet in the Model3,there is no display to see. Seems to make no sense to me. Either it is important and there should be a display in the Model3 (or a HUD) or it is not that important and there should be a regular steering wheel in the S.
