Can you describe the "ticking" in the motor? Are you sure it is not Vanos related or something else? Have you had the motor inspected by a bmw tech to know for sure? Does the noise get louder and more frequent as the rpm's rev up? Is that dry rot at the seals only in the location in the picture? Or, is it throughout? Any rust showing? Frame reinforcement done?? Also, do those 513's bolt right up or do they have a different offset and/or spacers? Nice look on the E46.

see above, and yes that is just dry rot on the seal around the glass. Subframe has not been reinforced.
