Yes!! I live just off Magazine but closer to the park, by Whole Foods. Despite everything we love about NOLA, it is a $hit show, a third-world country.
And no points, does not get reported to insurance, just a money grab by the city. If they really wanted to improve the safety (which is what they claim the cameras are for) they could simply increase the timing between when one direction turns red and the other gets the green. That has shown to be more effective at reducing accidents.
