I don't have my car yet, but will try this since I will have the MPE.
Turn on the car, foot off the brake so engine doesn't start, open flaps with bluetooth remote, then unplug the wire from the solenoid flap control on each side of the exhaust. In theory it should work, flaps will be stuck in open position.
Let me know if it works.
