I pondered a few things about the engine regs what the pre race show-
Why aren’t they raising the various engine parts allocation to 4 with races going from 19 a few years ago to 23 next year?
Why isn’t there more penalties levied against teams (Merc) that are just swapping the ICE left and right in the half half of this season?
When they do take engine penalties why don’t these teams just replace all the parts -ICE, turbo, both MGUs, electronics, trans- since they’re starting at the back anyways? I thought once they take the penalty, the new part becomes a part of their active inventory and can be used going forward.
