Made the Most of the Perfect Weather Today!

Apparently it's still winter. I wouldn't have guessed with the weather we have been having lately. It got up to about 56 today (in central Illinois) so I decided to wash the coupe and go for a drive. I was especially excited about it because its the first time I've been able to clean the car with the new bumper, Mstache, OE mudflaps, and wheels on the car. My TE37's will just be for autocross use now.

Anyways, I took a few pictures! I'll try to get some more next time it's nice out.

This might be the best picture I've ever taken of the S54, haha...

And finally, a couple cell phone pictures.

I contemplated taking mine out today too. But, they salt the roads too much up here to do it. Very nice pictures .. let's hope February is short and warm.

Wow, that's great weather for Illinois this time of year. The Mstache looks great on your car.

It was 68 here in NC. My wife and I took a drive with the top down. It was an awesome day. I think we're getting another 65 degree sunny day, tomorrow. Woohoo!

Very nice! Great Mstache, hopefully get mine on next week. And those wheels! I think they would go with my colour as well, just wish they did a 19 inch. Still looks sweet though.

Hang on, they are 18s aren't they. E92 M3 right?

Edit: found them 260M

Nice pictures. It got warm up in MA too - around 52 degrees on Sunday. I'm actually starting to see some grass underneath the snow cover on my lawn! But as someone else said they salt the roads up here so I didn't take the car out. It'd be too much of a hassle to turn on the plumbing for my outdoor faucet again, set up the hose, jack up the car and wash underneath. Otherwise, salt would be stuck to the underbody slowly corroding it for the next 3 months. Do you have a simpler way of spraying down the underbody before you put her back into winter storage?

Thank you! I'm really happy with it. It's some great looking, low cost insurance to protect my bumper fangs. I used to have RPI skid plates but I like this much more.

Thank you! they are E9x M3 wheels but they are 219M. Slightly different than the 260M. If you want 19's take a look at the F10 M5 345Ms. They are very similar and 19".

I didn't spray the underside or anything like that. It has actually been pretty wet/rainy on at least a couple of occasions since the last big salting so the roads are clean for the most part. I wasn't to worried about it.

Found a set! http://boston.craigslist.org/gbs/wtd/5419055551.html

But something tells me 245/40/18 and 265/40/18 tires aren't going to fit.

I've run 265/40/18 out back before. It had a slight rub on the fender liner occasionally but wasn't a big deal. I have 255/40 now. The 245/40/18 front is good to go.
